Welcome to Born to Run - Header

Chris and Diane Doyle together with Pam Stanley are the collective owners of six whippets and two lurchers. We named this site Born To Run as it aptly describes how our dogs live. They were bred to run and chase and we as owners give them every opportunity to express themselves in a natural way with lure coursing and racing as their main disciplines.

Pam is the owner of two lurchers, Sheba and Bracken and two whippets, Tilley and The Shiner. They are pictured below in full flight:

Chris and Diane are the custodians of four whippets: Moss, Henrietta, Zorro and Solo. Moss is mother to Henrietta and Zorro. Solo, the youngest is bred for racing and became a family member in October 2008 at the age of seven weeks. The four are featured in pictures below.

It all started in 2001. Pam wanted a lurcher so I answered an ad. This took me to a farm in Lincolnshire where we met Sheba. She was one of 11 in a litter and had been retained by the owners as their pick should they not home all of them.
